Athletic Bilbao forward Inaki Williams
has played in every LaLiga game for the past six years.
He has played 224 games in a row, never injured, never suspended and never left out.Â
Williams achieved the feat as he played the first half of Bilbao’s 2-0 loss against Celta Vigo on Sunday, as reported by The Sun.
The last time Williams didn’t play in a LaLiga game for Bilbao was in April 2016 against Malaga when he missed out because of a thigh problem.
In October last year Williams broke the record for the most consecutive LaLiga matches, which was previously held by Juanan Larranaga, who made 202 appearances in a row.
During this run Williams has played under five different managers – Ernesto Valverde, Jose Angel Ziganda, Eduardo Berizzo, Gaizka Gartiano and current boss Marcelino. Â
The 27-year-old’s current contract runs until 2028, which means that he could make more appearances for Bilbao.
