According to an official statement, soldiers also recovered weapons and disrupted criminal logistics. The Army confirmed that coordinated missions targeted insurgents, traffickers, and kidnappers across multiple states.

Coordinated Operations Disrupt Terrorist Activities

The Army stated that troops carried out high-intensity operations across several regions. These efforts successfully weakened criminal networks and reduced their operational strength.

Additionally, the military recovered an AK-47 rifle, ammunition, and other items linked to illegal activities. These recoveries highlight ongoing efforts to cut off terrorist supply chains.

Troops Overpower Insurgents in Borno

In the North East, troops of the 21 Special Armoured Brigade launched operations in Borno State.

During the mission, soldiers arrested 14 suspects, including individuals linked to notorious kidnapper Baba Ali. They also seized fertiliser bags used to produce improvised explosive devices.

Meanwhile, in Marte Local Government Area, insurgents fled during a military encounter. They abandoned bicycles and key supplies while escaping.

Successful Rescue Missions in Kaduna

In the North West, troops conducted operations in Kaduna State.

During the mission, soldiers recovered rustled livestock and rescued kidnapped victims. Notably, troops engaged terrorists at Lahin Dan Auta and rescued three victims. Authorities have since reunited the victims with their families.

This swift response demonstrates the Army’s growing efficiency in handling security threats.

Arrests and Recoveries in Benue

A raid in Gwer West led to the rescue of six victims and the arrest of a suspected trafficker.

Furthermore, troops on patrol in Guma Local Government Area arrested three terrorists. They also recovered an AK-47 rifle, two magazines, and 27 rounds of ammunition.
