Braga and Real Betis played a 1-1 draw on Wednesday at Estadio Municipal in Portugal, where Florian Grillitsch scored early and Cucho Hernandez equalised from the penalty spot to leave the Europa League quarter-final tie evenly balanced ahead of the return leg in Seville next Thursday.
Early Goal Gives Braga the Edge
Braga started brightly and took the lead in the fifth minute. Florian Grillitsch made a clever run to the near post. He then flicked a low corner into the net with a neat backheel.
The early goal energized the home crowd and put Real Betis under immediate pressure.
Hornicek Shines in First Half
However, Real Betis responded quickly and created several chances. Lukas Hornicek stood firm in goal for Braga.
He made crucial saves to deny Marc Bartra, Abde Ezzalzouli, and Hernandez. As a result, Braga maintained their lead before halftime.

In the second half, Betis increased their intensity. Eventually, they found a breakthrough in the 61st minute.
Jean-Baptiste Gorby fouled Ezzalzouli inside the box. The referee pointed to the spot without hesitation.
