The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has clarified that applicants participating in the 2025 recruitment medical screening exercise do not have a prescribed dress code. The Board issued the clarification ahead of the screening, which begins on June 22, 2026, for candidates seeking employment into the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCOS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). The announcement aims to prevent the spread of false information and ensure applicants follow only official directives.
No Official Dress Code for Medical Screening
CDCFIB stated that all applicants should attend the medical screening in normal and decent attire. The Board stressed that it has not approved any specific clothing requirement for the exercise.
Candidates should ignore any message directing them to wear a particular outfit because such instructions did not originate from the Board.
Do Not Bring Credentials
The Board also advised applicants not to bring their academic or personal credentials to the screening venue.
According to CDCFIB, officials will not conduct document verification during the medical screening exercise. Therefore, candidates only need to report for the medical examination as scheduled.
Beware of False Information
Furthermore, CDCFIB warned applicants against misleading information circulating on social media and other unofficial platforms.
The Board urged candidates to rely solely on information released through its official communication channels.
CDCFIB Wishes Candidates Success
As preparations continue for the nationwide exercise, CDCFIB encouraged all applicants to comply with official guidelines. The Board also wished every candidate a successful medical screening exercise.
