The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, on Wednesday in Lagos declared that the National Assembly fully supports President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while representing him at the inauguration of the Ojota-Opebi link bridge, E-GIS, and Alausa complex, to reinforce commitment to national development.

Akpabio Praises Tinubu’s Leadership

Akpabio described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a visionary leader with a clear mission. He said the President remains focused on delivering meaningful progress for Nigerians.

According to him, lawmakers take pride in Tinubu’s leadership style and direction. He stressed that the administration continues to pursue impactful policies.

National Assembly Pledges Full Support

Furthermore, Akpabio emphasized that the National Assembly stands firmly behind the President. He stated that lawmakers will support policies that improve citizens’ lives.

“We are 2000 percent behind him,” he said. “We will ensure he succeeds in delivering for the people.”

He added that the legislature will collaborate closely with the executive arm to achieve national goals.

Akpabio Prioritises National Assignment

Meanwhile, Akpabio revealed that he cancelled an international engagement to attend the event. He explained that representing the President remained a top priority.

This decision, he noted, reflects his commitment to national service and leadership responsibility.

Projects Reflect Development Drive

In addition, Akpabio commended the inaugurated projects. He noted that they demonstrate ongoing development efforts under the current administration.

He pointed out that infrastructure projects will improve mobility, governance, and economic activities in Lagos.
