The Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, has approved the turbanning of three distinguished individuals on May 2, 2026, at the Emir’s Palace in Katsina. The ceremony will honour Alhaji Ahmad Abdulmuminini Kabir Usman, Alhaji Muhammad Dikko Umar, and Alhaji Abubakar Dardisu for their contributions to society and commitment to community development.
Honourees and Their Traditional Titles
Alhaji Ahmad Abdulmuminini Kabir Usman will receive the title of Hakimin Dankama (Dan-Majen Katsina). He is the son of the Emir of Katsina.
Alhaji Muhammad Dikko Umar, son of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, will be turbanned as Hakimin Radda (Gwagwaren Katsina).
Alhaji Abubakar Dardisu will be honoured as Hakimin Muduru (Sarkin Mudurun Katsina).
Ceremony Reflects Culture and Prestige
The ceremony will take place at the Emir’s Palace and showcase Katsina’s rich cultural heritage. According to Engr. Surajo Yazid Abukur, Chairman of the Media Publicity Committee, the event will reflect dignity, tradition, and prestige.
Emirate Council Confirms Approval
The Katsina Emirate Council confirmed the approval in a letter dated March 31, 2026. Alhaji Isah Ali Kankia, Secretary of the Council, signed the letter. The Council sent it to the Governor’s Special Adviser on Emirate Affairs.
Celebration of Legacy and Service
The honourees belong to the respected Muhammadu Dikko dynasty. The dynasty is known for leadership and public service. The ceremony will celebrate both cultural heritage and civic achievement.
