American rapper Future has admitted that his biggest personal regret is not loving women better in his past relationships. The rapper made the revelation during a trending interview on Hot 97 on Saturday, where he reflected on his upbringing, relationships, and commitment to personal growth.
Future Admits Regret Over Past Relationships
During the interview, Future, born Nayvadius DeMun Cash, opened up about his struggles with romance. He said he lacked a male role model while growing up. As a result, he never learned how to properly express love.
“I came from nothing and I didn’t have a person or a male role model to show me how to treat a woman,” he said. “I have never seen someone buy my mum a flower.”
The rapper explained that he did not witness his mother receive affection from a partner. Therefore, he developed his understanding of relationships through personal experiences.
Learning From Experience
Future revealed that his past relationships became his classroom. He shares nine children with different women. According to him, those relationships helped him understand emotional responsibility.
However, he stressed that he does not blame his upbringing for his mistakes. Instead, he takes full responsibility for his actions.
“My biggest regret in life is, I should have loved harder. I should have found a way to love the right way,” he added.
Commitment to Personal Growth
Now, the award-winning rapper says he is focused on growth. He aims to make better choices and build healthier relationships going forward.
He emphasized that self-awareness has helped him reflect deeply. As a result, he wants to approach love with more maturity and intention.
Furthermore, Future noted that growth requires honesty and accountability. He believes that learning from past mistakes is essential for lasting change.
