The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) disclosed on Thursday, February 13, 2026, that it generated N60.5 trillion in revenue and posted a profit after tax of N5.76 trillion in 2025. The company, which operates across Nigeria’s oil and gas sector, remitted N14.706 trillion to statutory government agencies to support national development.
Production and Operations Overview
According to the NNPC monthly report, crude oil and condensate production averaged 1.54 million barrels per day in December 2025, while natural gas production reached 6.914 billion standard cubic feet per day. The report highlighted that upstream pipelines achieved 100% availability, and retail outlets recorded 65% product availability during the month.
Key Pipeline Projects
The Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben (OB3) pipeline and the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) pipeline projects both reached 91% completion, showing steady progress in Nigeria’s energy infrastructure development.
Factors Affecting December Production
NNPC noted that planned maintenance at Stardeep-Agbami and Renaissance-Estuary Area, as well as unplanned outages at production facilities, temporarily affected December’s production levels.
Monthly Performance Trends
In November 2025, NNPC’s monthly revenue fell by 14.17% to N4.358 trillion, down from N5.078 trillion in October. However, profit after tax increased by 12.3% to N502 billion, and statutory payments to the government totaled N967 billion, bringing cumulative remittances from January to October to N12.117 trillion.
