Kwankwaso Hosts Obi, Makinde, Dickson in Kano for Sallah Celebration

Former Kano State governor and leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, hosted Peter Obi, Seyi Makinde, and Seriake Dickson at his residence in Kano on Sunday during the Sallah celebration, where they gathered to celebrate the festive period, honour Kwankwaso, and participate in the annual Kalankuwa event.


Obi Clarifies Purpose of Visit

Peter Obi clarified that his visit was not political. Instead, he attended to celebrate Sallah and honour Kwankwaso.

“I’m here to felicitate with you on the occasion of Sallah,” Obi told supporters.

However, he stressed the importance of economic development. He noted that rebuilding industries would create jobs and improve livelihoods.


Call to Revive Kano’s Industrial Base

Obi urged stakeholders to revive Kano’s industrial strength. He highlighted key areas such as Bompai and Sharada Phase I and II.

He also pointed to legacy institutions like the Bank of the North. According to him, restoring these assets will boost economic activity.

“We want to build a new Kano and restore its economic power,” he said.


Kwankwaso Celebrates Unity and Sallah Spirit

Kwankwaso described the gathering as joyful and significant. He appreciated the presence of the visiting leaders.

In a message shared online, he wished Nigerians peace, blessings, and prosperity.

The event attracted a large crowd of supporters, who came out to celebrate Sallah and welcome the dignitaries.
