President Bola Ahmed Tinubu met the Renewed Hope Ambassadors on Thursday in Abuja to reaffirm his commitment to Nigeria’s stability, prosperity, and inclusive growth. He addressed governors, party leaders, and stakeholders at the State House. He explained ongoing economic reforms, encouraged grassroots mobilisation, and assured citizens he would not abandon his responsibilities.
Tinubu Promises Stability and Inclusive Growth
President Tinubu stressed that his administration prioritises citizens’ welfare. He said ongoing reforms aim to rebuild economic structures and expand opportunities.
He added that Nigerians must actively participate in shaping their future. According to him, stronger participation will improve society for future generations.
Furthermore, he noted that inclusive growth remains central to his vision. He promised more support for vulnerable citizens through targeted reforms.
Call for Grassroots Mobilisation
The President urged the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to intensify grassroots engagement. He encouraged them to educate citizens on government policies and benefits.
“You represent the conscience of a nation ready to break poverty,” he said.
He also emphasised unity and national purpose. According to him, Nigeria can only achieve greatness through a shared vision.
Commitment to Democracy and Rule of Law
Tinubu reaffirmed his respect for democratic principles. He highlighted the importance of the rule of law and separation of powers.
He stated clearly that the government must respect court decisions at all times.
Additionally, he urged political actors to uphold democratic values. He warned against actions that undermine national unity.
Tinubu Responds to Critics
The President dismissed opposition criticism. He said he remains focused despite distractions.
He stressed that leadership requires resilience and vision. Moreover, he insisted that reforms, though difficult, will deliver long-term benefits.
He also referenced his continuity with past leadership. He acknowledged challenges but promised to correct them and move forward.
Uzodimma Highlights Progress of Ambassadors
Governor Hope Uzodimma, who leads the group, briefed the President on progress.
He said structures now exist across regions, local governments, and wards. He added that data collection and mobilisation efforts have started nationwide.
According to him, the group engages markets, schools, and community platforms. These efforts aim to strengthen political awareness and participation.
APC Leaders and Governors Show Support
Several governors and party leaders attended the meeting. They expressed strong support for the President’s reforms.
Notably, former Katsina governor Aminu Bello Masari praised Tinubu’s courage. He described him as a determined reformer.
Masari acknowledged that reforms often face early resistance. However, he insisted they remain necessary for national progress.
Push for Awareness of Government Projects
Leaders from the North-West pledged to promote federal projects. They plan to tour project sites and inform citizens about achievements.
They also urged the President to remain focused despite criticism. According to them, even critics recognise ongoing improvements.
Tinubu Assures Nigerians: “I Won’t Give Up”
President Tinubu ended his remarks with a strong assurance. He promised to remain committed to national development.
He described the Renewed Hope Ambassadors as partners in progress. He also pledged to support their mission fully.
“I will not run away from this responsibility,” he said.
