By Elizabeth Ugbo

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has appealed to the public for information to help reunite a six-year-old boy, Aliyu Suleiman, with his family after he was found alone in the Kubwa area of Abuja on July 9, 2026. The command made the appeal in Abuja, urging anyone with useful information to contact the police and assist in locating the child’s parents or relatives.

Child Found Wandering in Kubwa

According to the FCT Police Command, Aliyu Suleiman speaks Hausa fluently and said he travelled from Port Harcourt to Abuja with his mother, Rashidat.

The six-year-old explained that he went out with his mother and his three siblings, Aisha, Umar, and Zaipa, before he became separated from them.

Fortunately, a good Samaritan found the child wandering around Kubwa and took him to the Kubwa Area Command after unsuccessful efforts to locate his family.

Police Appeal for Public Assistance

The police have called on residents to provide any information that could help identify or locate the child’s parents or relatives.

Anyone with useful information should report to the nearest police station or contact the FCT Police Command through the following numbers:

  • 08180382808
  • 07038979348 (Police Public Relations Officer)

The command urged members of the public to support efforts to reunite Aliyu Suleiman with his family as quickly as possible.
