Israeli attacks killed at least four Palestinians across Gaza on Saturday, August 30, 2026, while several others sustained injuries. The attacks occurred despite the ceasefire that began in October last year, as Palestinian authorities reported continued casualties, missing people and strikes on medical facilities.
1,313 Palestinians Killed Since Ceasefire
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, Israeli attacks have killed 1,313 Palestinians since the ceasefire took effect in October last year.
Meanwhile, between 4,000 and 5,000 Palestinians remain missing in Gaza. Authorities believe many remain trapped beneath rubble from destroyed buildings.
The Palestinian Centre for Missing and Forcibly Disappeared Persons disclosed the figures on Saturday.
It also estimated that between 2,500 and 3,000 Palestinians may have suffered forced disappearance during the war.
Thousands Feared Trapped Under Rubble
The Centre based its estimate on an analytical study of 317 cases.
Its findings showed possible signs of a wider pattern of enforced disappearances. Therefore, the Centre called for further investigation into the cases.
Of the 317 cases studied, 302 involved men. They accounted for 95.27 percent of the sample.
Meanwhile, women accounted for 15 cases. The sample also included 41 children and 17 people aged 60 or above.
Gaza War Death Toll Surpasses 73,000
Israel began its war on Gaza in October 2023. Since then, more than 73,000 Palestinians have reportedly died.
More than 174,000 others have also suffered injuries, with women and children making up most casualties.
However, Israeli forces have continued attacks across Gaza despite the reported ceasefire.
The latest violence has also affected hospitals and other medical facilities.
Gaza Health Ministry Reports New Casualties
Gaza’s Ministry of Health said it received 10 bodies within 48 hours on Saturday.
Nine of the victims had recently died, while authorities recovered one body from beneath the rubble.
The ministry also reported 18 wounded people during the same period.
However, many victims remain trapped beneath collapsed buildings.
Others remain stranded on roads that ambulances and civil defense teams cannot reach.
Israeli Strike Hits Electric Bike in Gaza City
An Israeli drone reportedly struck an electric bike in Gaza City’s Tal al-Hawa neighborhood.
According to Palestinian news agency Wafa, the attack killed two people and injured others.
Medical teams transported the casualties to al-Quds Field Hospital.
Similarly, another Israeli strike targeted a group of Palestinians in Khan Younis.
The attack killed one person and injured several others.
One of the wounded reportedly remained in critical condition. Medical teams took the casualties to Nasser Hospital.
Palestinian Killed by Israeli Gunfire
Earlier on Saturday, Israeli gunfire killed a Palestinian in al-Musaddar village.
The village lies east of Deir el-Balah in central Gaza.
Meanwhile, an Israeli quadcopter reportedly dropped an explosive device near Kamal Adwan Hospital.
Hospital officials confirmed the incident, adding to concerns about attacks near medical facilities.
MSF Condemns Attacks on Medical Facilities
Medical aid organization Doctors Without Borders, also known as MSF, condemned reports of attacks near hospitals.
The organization said it was particularly alarmed by reports of an Israeli air strike inside the Al-Aqsa Hospital compound.
MSF also noted that another strike hit the same complex about a month earlier.
That previous attack destroyed warehouses containing medical supplies.
The organization stressed that all parties must respect the neutrality and protection of medical facilities.
Israel Confirms Al-Aqsa Hospital Strike
The Israeli military confirmed that it struck a target inside the Al-Aqsa Hospital compound.
However, the military claimed that the attack targeted a Hamas commander.
The Israeli military did not provide evidence supporting the claim in the report.
Separately, an Israeli drone reportedly struck a tent used as a medical supply warehouse.
The tent stood inside the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital complex in Deir el-Balah.
Hospital director said the attack injured three people.
Continued Violence Raises Ceasefire Concerns
The latest attacks have intensified concerns over the durability of the Gaza ceasefire.
Despite the truce, Palestinian authorities continue to report deaths and injuries from Israeli attacks.
At the same time, thousands of Palestinians remain missing or trapped beneath destroyed buildings.
The continued attacks on or near medical facilities have also raised serious humanitarian concerns.
