President Bola Tinubu has celebrated former Katsina State Governor Ibrahim Shehu Shema on his birthday, September 22, praising his contributions to governance and national development.

President Tinubu joined Shema’s family, friends and associates in celebrating the former governor.
He described Shema as a visionary leader with a strong record of public service.
The President also commended his dedication to nation-building and national development.
According to Tinubu, Shema made significant contributions to Katsina State during his tenure.
Shema’s Tenure as Katsina Governor
Ibrahim Shehu Shema, a lawyer and politician, served as Katsina State governor from 2007 to 2015.
During his administration, he pursued investments across several sectors of the state.
President Tinubu said Shema raised the standard of governance in Katsina.
He highlighted the former governor’s focus on durable infrastructure and public services.
These projects included rural roads, schools, business institutes and clinics.
Tinubu also praised the development of a state-of-the-art specialist hospital.
Tinubu Praises Shema’s Public Service
The President said Shema’s legacy remains a reference point in public service.
He also acknowledged his continued support for national development.
Shema is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He also served on the party’s Presidential Campaign Council.
Furthermore, Tinubu thanked the former governor for his contributions and continued support.

President Tinubu prayed for God to grant Shema many more years.
He also wished him good health and continued strength.
