Similarly, FEC approved ₦167 billion for the 95-kilometre Etuke–Okene–Ankpa–Otopa Road in Kogi State.

Beyond Ekiti, Kogi and Kano, the council approved projects covering Adamawa and Taraba states.

The approvals also include remedial works on the East–West Road. In addition, FEC approved the rehabilitation of the Sokoto–Illela Road.

These projects form part of the government’s efforts to address road infrastructure needs across different regions. Nevertheless, the minister did not disclose the individual costs of all nine projects in the information provided.

The development marks progress on a major transport corridor connecting the Federal Capital Territory with Kaduna and Zaria. However, Umahi did not provide a specific completion date for the remaining section.

Government Continues Road Infrastructure Investment

The latest approvals highlight the federal government’s continued investment in road construction and rehabilitation.

The projects cover multiple states and include new road infrastructure, rehabilitation and remedial works. Their completion could improve travel conditions and strengthen connections between communities.
