The new JAMB Registrar, Professor Segun Aina, has resolved over 5,000 pending complaints within five days. The complaints involved candidates facing profile code, biometric, payment and technical challenges. Aina took the action at the JAMB SERVICOM Unit to improve service delivery and address unresolved cases faster.
JAMB Registrar Tackles Thousands of Pending Complaints
Professor Aina moved his seat to the Board’s SERVICOM Unit to address the complaints directly. The move allowed him to understand the challenges facing candidates and other JAMB clients.
As a result, the Registrar helped resolve more than 5,000 outstanding complaints within five days. The cases covered several stages of the examination registration and admission process.
The development followed Aina’s decision to strengthen JAMB’s Service Compact with All Nigerians, SERVICOM Unit.
According to JAMB, the initiative aims to ensure faster responses to candidates’ complaints and service requests.
Complaints Cover Profile Codes and Biometric Failures
The resolved complaints involved various technical and administrative challenges. Some candidates struggled to create profile codes because they lost access to old phone numbers.
Others reported biometric failures during registration and examination-related processes. Payment difficulties also featured among the outstanding complaints.
In addition, some candidates raised concerns about inappropriate examination venues. Issues involving e-PINs also required the Board’s attention.
Technical problems and difficulties uploading required documents also affected several candidates.
Aina Strengthens JAMB’s Service Delivery
The Registrar’s decision reflects his focus on improving JAMB’s customer service. By working directly from the SERVICOM Unit, Aina gained first-hand insight into candidates’ concerns.
Furthermore, the move supports faster communication between the Board and its clients. It also gives officials a clearer understanding of recurring service challenges.
JAMB said the initiative demonstrates Aina’s commitment to strategic communication. The approach also seeks to improve services provided to candidates.
JAMB Promises Better Services to Candidates
The Board said it remains focused on delivering services that match the fees paid by candidates. Therefore, resolving outstanding complaints remains a key part of its service improvement efforts.
The latest intervention also highlights the importance of responsive customer support. Candidates facing registration or technical difficulties can benefit from faster complaint resolution.
JAMB’s strengthened SERVICOM approach could also help reduce delays during future registration exercises.
