President Bola Tinubu on Monday swore in eight new federal commissioners for the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) and the National Population Commission (NPC) before the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The inauguration aimed to strengthen the operations of both constitutional commissions by filling key leadership positions.
Tinubu Inaugurates New RMAFC Commissioners
President Tinubu administered the oath of office to two new federal commissioners for the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission.
The appointees are former Chairman of the National Hajj Commission, Abdullahi Mukhtar Mohammed, representing Kaduna State, and Amina Gamawa, representing Bauchi State.
Their appointments are expected to reinforce the commission’s role in revenue allocation and fiscal management across Nigeria.
Six Commissioners Join National Population Commission
The President also inaugurated six commissioners for the National Population Commission.
The new commissioners are:
- Kolawole Oladipupo Alabi – Ekiti State
- Nasiru Mu’azu – Zamfara State
- Isaka Alada Yahaya – Kwara State
- Prof. Sadiq Isah Radda – Katsina State
- Suleiman Umar – Jigawa State
- Chiso Abdullahi Dattijo – Sokoto State
The appointments will strengthen the commission as it continues to carry out its population management and demographic responsibilities.
Ceremony Held Before FEC Meeting
The swearing-in ceremony took place shortly before the commencement of the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting on Monday.
The inauguration marks another step in the Tinubu administration’s effort to fill vacancies in key federal institutions and improve public sector governance.
