Tinubu Appoints Ademola Ade-John as Senior Special Assistant on Transportation

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Prince Adetokunbo Ademola Ade-John as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Transportation and Mobility, effective August 27, 2026, to strengthen coordination and policy implementation across Nigeria’s transportation sector.

Tinubu Approves New Transportation Appointment

President Tinubu approved the appointment as part of efforts to advance his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The appointment takes effect from August 27, 2026. It also follows the applicable terms and conditions of service.

These terms fall under the Certain Political, Public and Judicial Office Holders (Salaries and Allowances, etc.) (Amendment) Act, 2008.

Ade-John’s New Role in Transportation

In his new position, Ade-John will support the President on transportation and mobility matters.

He will also help strengthen coordination among key transportation institutions.

Furthermore, he will support effective policy implementation across the sector.

The appointment places a strong focus on improving Nigeria’s transportation and mobility agenda.

Ade-John’s Political and Public Service Experience

Prince Ademola Adetokunbo Ade-John brings political and public service experience to the new role.

He previously served as Special Assistant to the Minister of Tourism.

He also has experience in grassroots political mobilisation.

Ade-John is described as a national political builder and APC Apex Youth Leader across the globe.

Tinubu Tasks Ade-John With Advancing Mobility Agenda

President Tinubu expects Ade-John to deploy his experience to the transportation sector.

In addition, the President wants him to support the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The new appointee will therefore play a role in improving coordination and policy delivery.

His appointment comes as the Federal Government continues efforts to strengthen transportation and mobility across Nigeria.
