President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja on Friday, November 6, 2026, for a two-state visit to Akwa Ibom and Rivers States. During the visit, he will commission major infrastructure projects in Uyo, attend a political rally, and participate in the All Progressives Congress (APC) rally in Port Harcourt on Saturday.
Tinubu to Commission Major Projects in Akwa Ibom
President Tinubu will begin his visit in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital. He will commission several landmark projects completed by Governor Umo Eno’s administration.

Governor Eno has declared Friday a work-free day across the state. The decision aims to ensure residents give the President a warm reception.

Among the projects scheduled for commissioning are:

  • The new International Terminal Building.
  • The International Airport Hospital.
  • The Ibom Aviation Village.
  • The Airport-Okopedi Road in Nsit Atai and Okobo Local Government Areas.
  • Ring Road 3, connecting Idoro Road to Ikot Ekpene Road through Uyo and Ibiono Ibom.
  • The AKWA-GIS Office Complex.
  • The Command and Control Centre.
  • The ARISE Palm Resort.
The airport-related projects sit within the Victor Attah International Airport complex. These developments reflect the state government’s efforts to strengthen infrastructure and economic growth.
Tinubu to Attend APC Rally in Akwa Ibom
Beyond commissioning projects, President Tinubu will attend a political rally during his Uyo visit.

The rally will provide an opportunity for APC leaders, members, and supporters to engage with the President.

It will also strengthen the party’s political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
President Heads to Rivers for APC Rally
On Saturday, November 7, President Tinubu will travel to Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

He will participate in the APC presidential campaign rally scheduled for the state.

The Port Harcourt rally will mark his third major campaign appearance since the party flagged off its re-election campaign in Kaduna last month.
Tinubu’s Visits Expected to Boost Political Engagement
The two-state visit will provide opportunities for President Tinubu to meet political stakeholders and party supporters.

Furthermore, the engagements will emphasise political unity, stability, and national development.

The visits will also showcase major infrastructure projects delivered by the Akwa Ibom State Government.
