AXA Mansard Insurance Plc has renewed its partnership with Herconomy to host the 2026 Enterprise Challenge, aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs in Nigeria. The initiative will take place at the Herconomy Conference 2026, targeting over 1,000 female professionals. It seeks to provide funding, mentorship, and visibility for women-led businesses. The programme builds on previous successes and focuses on financial inclusion, wealth creation, and business growth.
Strengthening Financial Inclusion for Women
AXA Mansard and Herconomy continue to deepen their collaboration to promote financial inclusion. This renewed partnership highlights their shared goal of supporting women in business.
The Enterprise Challenge serves as a key platform for identifying and funding high-potential startups. It also equips participants with practical tools for long-term financial resilience.
According to Chief Marketing Officer Adebola Surakat, empowering women financially drives sustainable development. She stressed that access to financial knowledge unlocks broader economic opportunities.
Enterprise Challenge: Driving Real Impact
The Enterprise Challenge has already transformed several businesses across Nigeria. During the 2025 edition, Opeyemi Adebisi of Pemnia Wellness won the top prize of N1.5 million.
Bilqis Idaro, founder of Posh Meals, received N1 million. Meanwhile, Chimdiebube Orji of Springsentia secured N500,000.
These success stories highlight the importance of competitive funding. They also show how targeted support can accelerate business growth.
Expanding Opportunities in 2026
The 2026 edition aims to reach more women-led startups nationwide. Organisers plan to increase participation and expand access to mentorship opportunities.
Additionally, the conference will bring together over 1,000 female entrepreneurs and professionals. This builds on a growing community of more than 15,000 members.
The focus remains on wealth creation and sustainable business practices. Participants will gain access to expert-led sessions and strategic networks.
AXA’s “She Is In Charge” Initiative
Through its “AXA She Is In Charge” initiative, the company promotes financial independence among women. The programme offers access to professional networks and financial education.
Surakat explained that the initiative supports both personal and business growth. It also aligns with broader conversations on financial protection and long-term security.
A Shared Vision for Growth
Both organisations share a strong vision of empowering women with financial autonomy. Their partnership continues to drive meaningful change across Nigeria’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
As the 2026 Enterprise Challenge approaches, expectations remain high. More women entrepreneurs are set to benefit from funding, mentorship, and exposure.
