Redeemer’s University Accounting Students Pass May 2026 ICAN Exams

Eight Accounting students of Redeemer’s University have passed the May 2026 qualifying examinations of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). The university announced the achievement on Wednesday through its official Facebook page. The successful students came from the 200, 300 and 400 levels. Their performance highlights the institution’s growing focus on professional accounting education. The university also linked the success to student dedication and institutional support.

Eight Accounting Students Record ICAN Success

The successful candidates came from different stages of the undergraduate programme.

They include Daramola Mary, a 200-level student.

Adekanla Ayomide and Ojedele David Olatomiwa are both 300-level students.

Five 400-level students also passed the examination.

They are Odeyemi Moyinoluwa Elizabeth, Ijiola Olatomiwa Feyisola and Oyelayo Goodness Oyedamola.

The others are Taiwo Tomilola and Medal Praise Olabisi.

The results reflect the department’s efforts to combine academic training with professional certification.

Vice-Chancellor Commends Students

Redeemer’s University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Shadrach Olufemi Akindele, praised the students’ performance.

He said the results further strengthened the university’s reputation in professional accounting education.

According to him, the achievement reinforces the institution’s role in developing future chartered accountants.

He also described the university as a strong training ground for accounting professionals in Nigeria.

Accounting Department Celebrates Achievement

The Programme Coordinator of the Department of Accounting, Dr Temitope Worimegbe, also congratulated the successful students.

She attributed the achievement to their dedication and the university’s support for professional development.

Worimegbe said the students had made the centre, department and university proud.

She also encouraged them to maintain their academic and professional momentum.

University Reaffirms Commitment to Professional Excellence

The department also appreciated the university management for supporting ICAN-related academic initiatives.

According to Worimegbe, the results demonstrate a shared commitment to professional excellence.

The university said the students’ success also reflects its approach to professional accounting education.
