HCSF Receives Ife Traditional Council Delegation, Reaffirms Commitment to National Unity

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), Mr. Olumuyiwa Enitan Abel, received a delegation from the Ife Traditional Council in Abuja. The delegation represented His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II. The visit congratulated Abel on his recent appointment and conveyed the Ooni’s goodwill and best wishes.

HCSF Appreciates Ooni’s Gesture

Receiving the delegation, Abel expressed appreciation to the Ooni and the Ife Traditional Council for the visit.

He highlighted the historical and cultural importance of Ile-Ife as the cradle of Yoruba civilisation.

The HCSF also recognised traditional institutions as vital custodians of Nigeria’s cultural heritage.

He said these institutions also contribute significantly to peace, unity and national cohesion.

According to him, traditional rulers remain important stakeholders in Nigeria’s socio-cultural development.

Traditional Institutions Vital to National Development

Abel noted that the delegation’s visit reflected the enduring relevance of traditional institutions.

He stressed their role in promoting cultural preservation and community development.

He also reaffirmed the Federal Civil Service’s commitment to engaging traditional institutions constructively.

Such engagement, he said, would support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The HCSF maintained that effective governance requires stronger cooperation across institutions.

He added that improved public service delivery depends on resilient and accountable institutions.

Therefore, he called for sustained collaboration and collective responsibility in advancing national development.

Abel Commends Ooni’s Leadership

The HCSF also praised the Ooni of Ife for his leadership and contributions to Nigeria.

He described His Imperial Majesty’s leadership as fatherly, inclusive and visionary.

Abel further commended the Ooni’s efforts to promote Nigeria’s interests locally and internationally.

He also appreciated the monarch’s contributions to Nigerians in the diaspora.

Olori Ogunwusi Conveys Ooni’s Goodwill

Speaking for the delegation, Her Regal Majesty, Olori Dr. Temitope Enitan Ogunwusi, conveyed the Ooni’s warm regards.

She also thanked the HCSF for the warm reception given to the delegation.

Olori Ogunwusi described Abel as a purpose-driven and accomplished public servant.

She urged Federal Civil Service officers and staff to support his vision.

According to her, teamwork remains essential for achieving sustainable institutional success.

She also stressed the importance of unity of purpose and collective dedication.

Confidence in HCSF’s Leadership

Olori Ogunwusi expressed confidence in Abel’s ability to provide transformative leadership.

She said his leadership could further strengthen the Federal Civil Service.

She added that such progress should align with the aspirations of the present administration.

The delegation included the Onifegunwa of Ifegunwa, Oba Adedire Adewole Solomon.

The Yeye Bobajiro Oodua, Dr. Yeye Afolashade Shona-Aluko, also attended the visit.
