The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the 2026 UTME results for candidates who sat the exam on April 17 and 18, 2026, across Nigeria, through its official SMS channels, allowing over 1.2 million candidates to check their scores.
How to Check 2026 UTME Results
Candidates can check their results easily using their registered phone numbers.
To do this, send UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 using the same SIM used during registration.
JAMB insists on this method to ensure secure and verified access.
Total Results Released So Far
JAMB has continued to release results in batches as the examination progresses.
- Results from April 17 and 18: 1,264,940 candidates
- Earlier results from April 16: 632,752 candidates
This brings the total released results to 1,897,692 candidates.
Ongoing Nationwide UTME Exercise
The 2026 UTME began on Thursday, April 16, 2026, across various Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide.
More than two million candidates are expected to participate in the exercise.
JAMB confirmed that the released results so far cover only the first three days of the examination.
JAMB Maintains Standard Result-Checking Process
JAMB has maintained its usual SMS-based result-checking system.
The board advised candidates to avoid unofficial platforms and rely only on approved channels.
Furthermore, it assured candidates that additional results will be released once processing is complete.
What Candidates Should Expect Next
Candidates whose results are not yet available should remain patient.
JAMB will continue to release results in phases as the examination continues nationwide.
