Ademola Lookman will face Arsenal FC in the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League semi-finals after Atlético Madrid and the Premier League side secured qualification by defeating their quarter-final opponents in Europe.

Atlético Madrid reached their first semi-final since 2016/17 despite losing 2-1 in the second leg to FC Barcelona. However, they advanced 3-2 on aggregate.
Meanwhile, Arsenal FC progressed after a 1-0 aggregate victory over Sporting CP.

Ademola Lookman played a decisive role in the second leg. He scored in the 31st minute after Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres overturned Atlético’s earlier advantage.
