Moreover, she described the internet as a powerful tool. According to her, students can learn, network, and earn through digital platforms. She urged youths to use it productively instead of wasting time.

From Admission to Academic Excellence

Alims highlighted her academic journey to inspire others. She gained admission in 2020 and made history in 2024. She became the first female SUG President in UNICAL since 1975.

By 2026, she graduated with a First Class degree. She also ranked as the sixth overall best graduating student. In addition, she emerged as the best in her faculty, department, and LGA.

Furthermore, she sponsored 50 students through a scholarship scheme. She facilitated a solar-powered borehole for hostels. In addition, she championed advocacy that led to the university’s first gender policy.

Overcoming Challenges Through Hard Work

Alims revealed she funded her education through menial jobs. She worked in shoemaking and fashion design at the Cross River Garment Factory.

At the same time, she volunteered with the Girls’ Power Initiative in Calabar. These experiences shaped her resilience and discipline.

Advice to Nigerian Youths
