Vice President Kashim Shettima on Friday commissioned major government facilities in Maiduguri, Borno State. He unveiled the projects at the Government House alongside Governor Babagana Zulum to improve governance, healthcare, and administrative efficiency for residents and officials.
Commissioning of Strategic Government Projects
During the visit, Shettima inaugurated several critical facilities. These include the Presidential Lodge, Government House Clinic, New Governor’s Office Complex, Protocol Office, and the Government House Jumma’at Mosque.
These projects aim to strengthen institutional capacity and enhance service delivery across the state. In addition, they reflect ongoing efforts to modernize public infrastructure.
First Jumma’at Prayer at New Mosque
After the commissioning, Shettima joined Governor Zulum and other dignitaries for the first Jumma’at prayer at the newly completed mosque.
The moment marked a symbolic milestone for the Government House community. It also highlighted the importance of unity and faith in leadership.
Shettima Praises Zulum’s Leadership
Shettima commended Zulum for his strong leadership and consistent development efforts. He noted that the governor continues to deliver tangible benefits to the people.
According to him, the progress in Borno remains visible and steady. He added that such commitment drives sustainable growth and stability.
Boost for Healthcare Services
The newly commissioned Government House Clinic will significantly improve healthcare access for staff and their families.
The facility features modern medical equipment and upgraded services. As a result, it will support timely and efficient healthcare delivery within the Government House.
