Nigerian entertainer Eedris Abdulkareem on Monday visited Edo State, where he toured key projects with Governor Monday Okpebholo in Edo Central Senatorial District. He inspected infrastructure, assessed development progress, and praised the governor’s efforts to improve the state. The visit aimed to verify reports about Edo’s transformation and encourage public confidence in ongoing projects.
Eedris Abdulkareem Commends Development Efforts
Eedris Abdulkareem said he visited Edo to confirm reports he had seen in the media.
He expressed satisfaction after touring several projects across the district.
“I came to see for myself if Edo is truly working,” he said.
“I have gone round and seen several projects. The achievements will soon become more visible.”
Furthermore, he urged Edo indigenes, especially those abroad, to return home and witness the progress firsthand.
Governor Okpebholo Reaffirms Commitment to Growth
Governor Okpebholo thanked the entertainer for the visit and support.
He emphasized his administration’s focus on improving infrastructure, education, and healthcare.
According to him, increased federal allocations under President Bola Tinubu have boosted development efforts.
“We will leave Edo better than we met it,” he said.
“These projects reflect what our people truly need.”
He also highlighted roads, schools, and hospitals as top priorities for his government.
Government Highlights People-Oriented Leadership
Edo State Commissioner for Information, Kassim Afegbua, described the governor as responsive and people-focused.
He noted that the administration listens to citizens and acts quickly on concerns.
Additionally, he pointed out that ongoing projects across the state show clear commitment to progress.
He added that more developments will emerge as inspections continue in Edo South.
