Abuja, Nigeria – The Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC), Professor Tunji Olaopa, has assured shortlisted candidates that the Commission will soon conduct the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for its ongoing recruitment exercise. Olaopa gave the assurance at the weekend while addressing concerns over the recruitment process. He stated that the CBT remains part of the exercise and will commence once the Commission receives the required resources.
FCSC Debunks CBT Cancellation Rumours
Professor Olaopa dismissed reports claiming that the CBT had been cancelled. He described the online reports as false and misleading.
According to him, the Commission has not suspended any stage of the recruitment process. Instead, officials are finalising arrangements for the examination.
He stressed that the CBT remains a key component of the recruitment exercise.
Recruitment Process Remains on Course
The FCSC Chairman explained that preparations for the test are progressing. He noted that the Commission only awaits the provision of necessary resources before announcing a date.
Furthermore, he assured applicants that the Commission remains committed to a transparent and credible recruitment process.
Candidates Advised to Await Official Updates
Olaopa urged shortlisted candidates to remain calm and avoid misinformation circulating online.
He advised applicants to rely only on official communication from the Federal Civil Service Commission. He added that the Commission will provide updates on the CBT schedule and other recruitment procedures at the appropriate time.
The Chairman reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to ensuring a fair and efficient recruitment exercise for all eligible candidates.
