The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates eligible for the 2026 Mop-Up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can now print their examination notification slips. The Board made the announcement on Sunday through its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin. Candidates can access the slips on JAMB’s website ahead of the examination scheduled for June 13, 2026. The exercise targets candidates affected by technical issues and biometric verification challenges during the main UTME.
Candidates Can Now Print Mop-Up UTME Slips
According to JAMB, the notification slip contains essential examination details. These include the examination centre, date, time, and other instructions.
The Board urged eligible candidates to visit its website and click on the “Print 2026 Mop-Up UTME Slip” link.
“The notification slip contains vital information, including the candidate’s examination centre, date, time, and other important instructions necessary for a seamless examination exercise,” the statement said.
Mop-Up Examination Scheduled for June 13
JAMB confirmed that the mop-up examination will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026.
The Board advised candidates to print their slips early. It also encouraged them to locate their examination centres before the examination date.
According to JAMB, early preparation will help candidates avoid last-minute challenges and unnecessary delays.
Who Is Eligible for the Mop-Up UTME?
JAMB explained that the mop-up exercise is specifically for candidates who could not sit for the main UTME.
The category includes candidates affected by technical glitches during the examination. It also covers those whose biometric verification failed at their designated centres.
The Board stated that the exercise aims to provide affected candidates with another opportunity to participate in the admission process.
JAMB Declares Mop-Up Exam Final Opportunity
Furthermore, JAMB stressed that the mop-up examination represents the final opportunity for eligible candidates to take part in the 2026 UTME.
The Board made it clear that it will not conduct another examination after the mop-up exercise.
Candidates were therefore urged to make adequate preparations and take advantage of the opportunity.
