Bayern Munich Win Title After Stuttgart Comeback in Munich

By Elizabeth Ugbo

Harry Kane scored and Bayern Munich came from behind to defeat Stuttgart 4-2 on Sunday in Munich. The result secured a record-extending 35th Bundesliga title for Bayern with four matches left. Bayern showed resilience and quality to overturn the deficit and dominate the season. Kane led the charge as Bayern confirmed another historic league triumph.

Kane Drives Bayern’s Attack and Chases Lewandowski Record

Harry Kane reached 32 goals in 27 appearances this season across all competitions. He became the first Englishman since 1930–31 to hit 50 goals in a season across all competitions. He now trails Robert Lewandowski’s single-season Bundesliga record of 41 goals.

Kane still has a mathematical chance to break the record. His form keeps Bayern’s attack sharp and decisive in key matches.

Olise Nears Historic Assist Record

Michael Olise has delivered 18 assists this season. He now sits just three assists behind Thomas Müller’s record of 21 assists from the 2019–20 campaign.

Olise continues to create chances consistently. His creativity strengthens Bayern’s attacking depth throughout the season.

Bayern’s Historic Numbers Show Total Dominance

Bayern Munich have scored 109 league goals this season. This breaks the long-standing Bundesliga record set in 1971–72. The team also holds 79 points with a goal difference of 80.

If the season ended now, Bayern would become the first team with more goal difference than points. They can still reach 91 points, matching their 2012–13 treble-winning side.

Bayern have now won 13 of the last 14 Bundesliga titles. They also hold 35 league titles overall, more than any rival club.

Treble Ambition Still Alive for Bayern Munich

Bayern remain in contention for a historic treble this season. They face Bayer Leverkusen in the German Cup semi-final. They also meet Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League semi-final.

Raphael Guerreiro, Nicolas Jackson, and Alphonso Davies also scored in the win over Stuttgart. Chris Führich and Chema Andrés scored for Stuttgart in a strong but losing effort.

Freiburg Boost Survival Push as Heidenheim Slip Closer to Relegation

Freiburg defeated Heidenheim 2-1 in a crucial Bundesliga clash. Johan Manzambi opened the scoring after 24 minutes. Budu Zivzivadze equalised before Maximilian Eggestein scored the winner late on.

The result lifts Freiburg above Eintracht Frankfurt into seventh place. Heidenheim now sit seven points from the relegation play-off spot. They remain 11 points from safety with only four games left.
